It is dated Nov 14, 2012, 3:36pm, which is the same date as all the other files in the folder.

BTW, I just had a look on my desktop, which also has 1.01 installed, and the Hamilcar file is not there.

Bad File 1CARHamilcar.mdl in Models/

Hi, I don't think this is causing problems in the game but I noticed that there are two Model files numbered 1, with UID 1. They are 1CMNLandLeader1.mdl and 1CARHamilcar.mdl.

BTW< I hope this is a accidental hint that there will some Punic conflict approaching.

Thanks for the quick response. Is this behavior intentional or a bug? If intentional, is there any marker or special ability that indicates which units are affected?

How many prisoners do I have?

I currently have option to both recruit from and sell prisoners. Total prisoners needed to do both would be 8500. The F7 window gives me a Prisoners Taken total, (9500) but it is unclear if that is the current for the turn or the entire game.

Why do Funditores and Sagitarii sometimes slow my moves by 300%

I've encountered this several times in the Marius-Sulla-Pontus game, where having slingers or archers in a stack really slows it down. Not on every move, but definetly on some. I have a force in Hispania using 10 out of 12 command points, a mix of legion, auxilia, equites and impedimenta. Time of ye...

I'd like to third the comments of JacquesDeLalaingII. I own and play AACW, WIA and AJE and would happily purchase new versions of these if they contain the improvements in granularity and transparency he mentions. I'd also pretty much buy any period with these improvements. It would be great if reso...

Given that we, the player, do not have the tactical control required to make use of such fiddly units, would there be any game-play reason to purchase these?

Besides digging through text files, is there a way in-game to see tell the frontage of a stack and the frontage of regions?

Oh, I hope you do not change it too much, we like that players can all work on their individual ORD files at the same time.

Purchased it last night and had an opportunity to play a few turns of the later Roman Civil War scenario with a friend. Besides the game itself being quite impressive and evocative of the period, we found the PBEM mechanics to be exactly what we had hoped for. One thing we were wondering was if AJE ...

A follow-up question - is it possible for a player to give units, cities or other resources to another player in game? If not, IIRC the trn and ord files are text, so I suppose one could hack the ownership of units etc.

Thanks for the reply and the information. I found some more info on MP here: aleajactaest-game dot com/game-info/campaigns-scenarios/ If I'm reading it right it seems that orders can be composed simultaneously by all players, then all .ord files are processed by the host. If so this is fantastic and...

Questions about the Multiplayer experience in AJE

Hello AGEOD, I am curious as to what the PBEM process is like and how streamlined it is. I have tried the demo but it is not sufficient to evaluate the potential for multiplayer. I've owned and played AACW for years and have always played it single player due too the size and complexity of the game,...
