I'd also note that the scenario never seems to go to a sudden death victory for Rome. We had one game where all the cities on Italy were taken. But a single Samnite general survived. He promptly fled by sea, built a depot on an island, and the game continued. Even after his small force was crushed, ...

And just to close out this thread--- definitely no bug here. My PBEM oponent who was executing the turns had been using various mods which I hadn't been aware of, and one of those broke the Sertorian replacements. The issues with the Jewish Revolt and Vespassian NM I mentioned in another thread like...

I certainly trust my opponent, and agree that cheating is possible no matter how you do it. But the reason I think having a password option is a big plus is that it is extremely easy to accidentally click on your opponent's turn from the load menu--- the font is so tiny and the save file names rathe...

Thanks for looking into that. I was able to get the backup turn files from my PBEM opponent, and ran tests of the turns on my own computer. The Sertorian units healed normally when I was executing, so my guess is that the seeming bug was tied to my opponent switching executing turns to the HAN short...

Bug in Sertorius replacements--- Great Mithradic War?

I believe there is a bug in the Sertorius scenario regarding replacements. Any damage to Sertorious' legionary cohorts appears under the Roman tab for replacements. Although completely destroyed elements will be rebuilt from scratch when parked at a depot, partially damaged elements will not be repa...

Sorry, I can PM you my password if you want it. But the game hard crashes as soon as the password box pops up on my computer, as shown in the log files. So there is no opportunity to ever enter it. Perhaps I'm missing an obvious step in setting up a PBEM game with passwords activated, but the above ...

Has there ever been a resolution to this problem? I am getting the same crash with a blank password box under 1.04, for any game I try and execute with compression and password on. Obviously it would be highly desirable to have these options functional for PBEM. I've attached the log and save files ...

Thanks for the answer. Maybe I was imagining an event. Out of curiosity, have any of the testers or anyone else out there been able to in an AI game under 1.04 playing as Vespassian crush the Jewish Revolt and get NM above the threshold? I'm mostly curious now just because I must have forgotten to d...

My NM never went much over 100, or got a dramatic boost from taking Jerusalem---- and that was with taking the Jewish cities relatively quickly and bloodlessly and no particularly dramatic other negative events. Again, in my game against the AI under 1.03, after the last Jewish City fell, an event p...

The change does create a serious problem for the Vespassian side. Without the NM boost that comes from the crushing the Jewish Revolt event, there is no realistic way (other than taking Rome first which defeats the purpose) for Vespassian to get his NM above 110, which is the required threshold to p...

Just to expand on my question above, can anyone verify whether sudden death rules should be in effect for the 4 Emperors scenario? In my recent 1.04 PBEM game, I noticed at the end of the scenario that sudden death was off (as it is in any new version of the scenario started under 1.04), but I can s...

Does anyone know the specific requirements for the crushing the Jewish Revolt event? In my current PBEM game I've held all the Jewish cities for quite a few turns, and the event has not triggered. There is a tiny Jewish cavalry unit still out there, but it is impossible to track it down--- it just k...
