This is a secondary question about units 'conquering' a region.

From what is written in the original post, if you have LESS than 5% loyalty in a region your men will assume the Orange Stance and will eventually 'take' the region for your side (and getting a small amount of supplies in the process).

So my questions are this:

1. If you have a stack with a General leading it will it also assume the Orange stance when entering the region or will only individual units be able to do this.

2. IF you have OVER 5%, say 9% loyalty can you assume the Orange Stance yourself and take over the region manually (so to speak).

3. IF you see that the opposition has taken areas around your City and your in danger of becoming cut off and unsupplied, can you send individual units out in say 3 different regions to take them back manually if you send them out in the Orange Stance?

AND (sorry a different subject as long as I am on here)

when you are Raiding and have your Raider or Cav set to Green stance and the arrow of avoiding armies ON when you run into a town that is undefended will you 'take' that town or do you have to be in Orange Stance to take it.

I have completed 1 game and I am STILL not sure if I can take the town on Green so I always would enter the region...Then put it on orange and take the city.
If I could just drop the Raider on the city in while in Green Stance and there WAS a unit there i could avoid it and if it WASN'T defended I could 'take' the town,

It could REALLY make a difference if your being chased OR if your unsupplied.

Thanks

1. Yes, any stack that is not all cavalry entering a region with less than 5% military control will assume aggressive posture.

2. Yes. However, once you are in the region, any posture except passive (green) will increase military control.

3. Yes. You can try that. They don't have to be aggressive, though.

AND No, you cannot take towns while in passive posture.

You can use assault posture with the 'evade combat' special order to move past a town. If the move out of the region takes you over the 15 days limit, then you will wind up in the same region with a town you just 'conquered', as long as there were no enemy forces. However, you will have destroyed 90% of the supplies (maybe a good thing), and taken a full 15 days worth of cohesion loss.

Don't confuse "loyalty" with "military control" - they are seperate things. MC(military control) can change very quickly, loyalty takes a heckuva lot longer to change. The one that controls whether you switch to offensive is MC, not loyalty.

It would be so easy to make a joke about conquering bare regions, but I'm just not going to do it.

And my Girlfriend says I have a dirty mind.

She will have to stand corrected and this is the proof (as slim as it is).

Been away for a month on vacation in Philippinnes - lots of bare regions there?Easy to conquer as well? Diving also excellent for those interested in holding breath?
