Drilling questions... Move is allowed?

Hi all

I need to know if the Master Driller works while moving, ot only if the stack is all the turn static.

Also, when are asigned the points... in the very beggining of the turn, or at the end of it. So a brigade joining the Driller in the middle of the turn earns or not the bonuses...?

Finally... Is there some restriction in the Drilling for having negatives (i e exceding command points)

The drill check is done at the start of the turn, so the game don't even know if the units will move or not (not important). CP penalty is not important either.

Merci Pocus..

The Drill & upgrading troops mechanics is really very pretty and really good, and has lots of details... I agree with most of the posts regarding confusion (on the militias descriptions / conscripts / early infantry /etc...) but I can understand you have simplified the whole thing to a single line of upgrading.

I liked a lot trying to run away from the british in BoA while trying to train & upgrade all those militia to regulars.

Hope a lot more will be aided to us fans in AACW 2...!

Hi again

I believed Drilling Master worked while moving, until 1.08 I could not look at the exact points... but .. (upgraded a few turns ago to 1.09) seems to me in the game this does not work...

I ve recorded around 90 units experience status during several turns, and no unit received experience under my friend Hardee & Bragg while on the move.

I a m still testing it, as some units got experience but also went on a battle, so still somewhat unsure.

I believe in BoA I did obtained my best training results when absolutely static. (But this is very far in my head now)

Anyway seems ok to me if training only works while static, just trying to be sure ow this works.

I have noticed that I only seem to get notifications that particular units have been trained when they are static .

Yes! This could confirm also than the other skill "Training master" work only if static.

And .. Also..

Im not sure but lots of my conscripts "autotrain" but no message at all. Only receiving messages when they are "lonely"

Im not sure but possible causes:

a) Most of them are in divisions
b) Nearly all of them are integrated into - militia - brigades
(so no message if conscripts are "married" into another units)

c) Most of them are 1* experienced (I send them to Drill under Bragg) so upgrading due to experience not by event.

I believe that you are correct about elements buried inside divisions are not reported in the logs when they been trained.
