Specialty Units-How many do you need

By specialty units I am referring to Marines/Sailors to cross rivers. Medical Units, Ballons ect.

Do I need only (1) One per army or do I need 1 per Corps/Division ect.

ORRR (Sigh) are they all different and I will need to make another reference List?

It seems as if I read somewhere that the Med officer need to be in a particular stack to be effective while a pontooner (Marine/Saikor?) only needs to be with the General.

This makes a HUGE difference I would think, so any info is appreciated. Thanks GrudgeBringer

All these have corps/stack abilities, i.e. you need one per corps/stack

The most significant unit abilities are sharpshooter and "high morale", which you will want to have one of in e.g. each division (at least to as great an extent as you can do)

Ok...Thank you. This game is getting deeper every minute. Everytime I think I am getting a handle on something it opens up a whole new area.
