...the NM and Victory point cost for making Grant an Army commander. He's behind Butler, Banks, MacDowell, McClellen and Halleck (well, I guess two of those already have commands). I'm not raising NM at a very high rate right now, so the hit could take a while to recover from...OTOH, having Grant in command might make it easier to get more NM points from victories...decisions, decisions...

Get him in combat and his seniority will go up.....if he wins.

Or if there is only one or two ahead? And you have the resources? Make em all army commanders. Use the seniority to see what order to promote in.

I have spent as much as 500+ VP to get Lee in command. It's a simple case of need vs. cost.
