List of Events

I'm looking for a list of the possible CSA and USA events (the stuff usually in the News box). I thought I'd seen one before, but no matter how many search terms I use, I can't find it.
Anyone know where that is?
WARNING! New players might consider this a spoiler. Do not read on if you want the game to surprise you with random political events.

No responses, so I came up with this. I expect it's not complete, that there could be some variety in timing. This list goes through 1863, union only.
I welcome any additions, changes, or references to better lists!

Well, it looks like you found the Union file. Now you need the CSA.

Heh, actually I sat down and ran the game turn after turn to see what popped up, and then copied them all down. I crashed the AI, so Athena would leave me in peace, so I may be missing some that she (or another player) might have caused. I expect there are some variable events that may or may not pop each game that I could have missed as well.
If there is no list for the CSA out there somewhere, I'll create one for them too.

Look for the folder where your AACW game is installed. Events are scripted in *.sct files located in "events" sub-folder.

Thanks, Mickey3D, I knew I'd read this somewhere before. Course, that ain't the easiest file to read is it?

Here is a
link that will provide you with some explanation on events syntax.
For headache you'll have to ask your pharmacist

Was a CSA event list ever put up?
Also note that the failure of the CSA Chapman Plot in late March '63 indicates some "corresponding USA event activated" not mentioned on the union event list on this thread. I'd like to know what that is.

Not by me. Started one, went on to other activities like the tourney.

I swear we had one kicking around somewhere, but all I can find now is our list of proposals from way back in Beta. Maybe that was one of the things lost in deletion of all of a certain someone's posts. Might be about time to rebuild that list anyway, the Wiki has a page for it, but was never included.

Thanks, I did do a basic search for one. I'll keep at it and post it somewhere in the near future.
