Hey guys I'm new and have some questions about the game. Hopefully people can answer/link some answers. And I have been looking on the forums.

1. What do Sailors/Marines do or better is there a reference for what all these support units do prior to building them?

2. Do unit have to be IN the city to recieve replacments or just in the reagion?

3. If a fort only engages naval units that pass from one sea zone to another that are both adjacent to the fort, how does that make Forts like Clinch and Marion usefully when they can just be bypassed by ships and land at the zones?

Thank for your consideration.

Hi!

1- Its just the pontoneer ability what makes them different from infantry. Check the Pontoneer tooltip to see what it does :) .
Sailors are like slightly weaker but cheaper marines.
Neither on them are not more suited for amphibious landing than nfantry.

2- No, being in a region with a city of appropriate size is enough for supply, replacements... No need to be inside.

3- Not sure where these forts are right now :bonk:

Cheers and welcome aboard!

And if anyone has a link to a place that has alot of "Items of interest" on game Mechanics that would be awesome. Already read the once on Wikki. Trying to learn has much as I can before I start getting into playing other people.
