When I look at my groups.. I see things like
3-1-1 611/611
is 611 my strength (I seem to think it is.. ) is see it on NME stacks too
but sometimes
when I look at the NME I see pwr : 1168
is this number the same as the number with the slash? or is it something totally different?
thanks in advance

Hi yes in both cases its strength=power
The slash means current power/max possible power.
Sometimes you will see regiments of brigades with 30/60 or similar numbers which means its a 50% max pwr.
regards
PS: what NME means?

Sorry.. long ago, used to play a game called Fighter Ace.. typing while flying.. wanted to keep characters to a minimum.. so we'd type NME instead of Enemy...
so would I assumed that Pwr: 681 would be the same as seeing (681/681)?

Not necessarily...big jump required. It could well be 681/?.... Just because you see an enemy power at 681 should not be automatically taken as meaning that the power is at maximum.

As Arsan indicated eariler it could be that the enemy is only at 50% power so the real numbers would be 681/1362 (using the 50% as an example)

Amigo GraniteStater,
Check out the threat estimating enemy strength. When I posed that thread, Info I got, was an eye opener from me. I learned that the game is dynamic and strengths both my own and the bandits (enemy) was always changing. You estimate, re-estimate, and keep notes of enemy units from last battles. You will find that those cavalry units, to me are invaluable asset to have. Raids are good but good intelligence is better. That is what I am learning.
Ya I see ya are a Texan. I hoped I was ablision ta ya. Well Johnny Reb, I's got me some KP ta do and finish up An ARR report. So keep ya powder dry and keeps ya head down because we might meets in the deadly space on the dance floor.
In my early days of PBEM playing Talonsoft Battle Ground series of tactical battles of the Civil War, and a former member a club. We called battles dances, shindings, or shebangs.
Well likes me Ya ain't seen the elleefunt (elephant) yet. (Played a PBEM)
