Leader and independent division

Hi

I wish to create an independent division and I am asking me how to optimise my leaders skills.

If i give the command of the division to a less seniority leader, will i benefit the defensive and offensive from both leader (the senior who command the stack and the other who command the division)?

I'm sorry for my english and i hope i was clear enough.

Maybe an exemple would clarify things a little.

I want to create a cavalry division under Forrest's command. Is it better to give him the division and an other general to skip the -10% (it would give me 5x6=30% bonus on offensive fire or maybe only 6x3=18% because it is at division level) or give the division to S. Watie (if it works like i think it would be 5x6+3x3=39%)

P.S an other small question.
Does the militiaman capacity work only during battle, cause i dont see the bonus during the game.

Thanks

Having the less senior general command the division and the most senior general command the stack will give you the benefit of the attack/defense skills of both. The stack commander gives 5% per skill point to all units in the stack; the division commander will give an additional 3% per point to the division.

If the division commander also is the stack commander, you only get the stack commander bonus applied to the division.

Interesting, is that also applying to brigades, when you merge a leader with a brigade?

YES I believe that was the idea.

Try Checking the full command POWER of a Brigade+Merged leader if leaded by another (different stats) leader or the other way round

Correct; rather than saying "division commander" in my post, I could've (should've?) said "unit commander" :)

I have checked it with brigades, and it doesn´t seem to work, no matter what combination of leaders the final CP of the stack is the same.

I am afraid that you missed the point of Rafiki's statement. The final CP is going to be the same regardless of which combination of leaders you use. 1* generals are all the same when it to CP. The 5% and 3% bonus that Rafiki is refering to is on attack and defence of the two generals. The division commander, if not the stack leader, will give his units a 3% bonus. The stack commander gives a 5% bonus.

Exactemundo. The CPs granted by leaders in the stack is not affected by the way they are organized, except in the very rare case of an aide-de-camp (leader not commanding the stack and/or a unit who has a strategic rating of 4 or more; gives 1 extra CP to the stack IIRC)
