Industry

This has happened to me several times. I have downloaded the latest patch and it till happens.

I am playing as the Union. I develop industry in, for example, New York. Next turn the industry has disappeared and I have to pay again to redevelop it.

I am spending a lot of money rebuilding industry in regions where I have already built it up to heavy industry level.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Hi Solano, and welcome to the forums! :)

If you do not have enough War supplies or money to sustain your investments, they will get cancelled. Make sure that both money and war supplies remain in the black (positive) when you e.g. allocate resources to building reinforcements and replacements

Thanks Rafiki. That makes sense now. I thought it was a bug - but just me going overdrawn!

And thanks for the welcome.

And that link is very useful too.

Hi!

Also bear in mind that the industries you see on the state map of the ledger are not "real industries". The several levels you can choose represent the level of investment you do (and pay for) on that state turn by turn... until you stop it.

It can have different effects (some lucky roll involved) that you will see on the message log at the beginning of each turn. Usually, some city on the map will get an increase on the production of War supplies, food, ammunition...

IMHO, the north does not need much (if any) industrialization effort.
It has enough at the beginning and can get more resources at cheaper cost by placing transport ships on the shipement box.
Better use all the money and war supplies you are using on the industry on building troops, cannons and ships to fight the CSA :indien:
Regards!

Thanks Arsan.

That could be useful and save me some money.

Arsan's statement on whether you need industrialization or not is subjective. U might find yourself short of supplies or wsu for the needs of your fleet/army so keep an eye on the general supply filter.

The more units you build, the more supplies you will need. Of all kinds.

Also, if you put a larger emphasis on artillery and ships that say, militia, you'll also find yourself in more need of WSU
