Playing 1.15, don't know what's going wrong. Clicking the End Turn button saves the game and closes to the main menu. Clicking Resume Game crashes to desktop.

The HST file is empty, that's why. You have to backup one turn and redo it I fear. Also it is a bad idea to use this directory for games which create files like ACW:

C:\Program Files (x86)\

Because the UAC can prevent proper writing of files.

Which OS are you using?

In Vista and W7, any application that wants to write to the "C:\Program Files\" folder needs "Administrator rights". If not, it will not be able to do simple write operations... creating, obviously, a lot of problems during execution time.
That's why it is highly recommended that you install your games in another directory, like for example: "C:\Games\"

Windows 7. I suppose this means I'll have to move RoP around as well. Thanks for the help.

I reinstalled the game and the 1.15 patch into a different folder, but now I'm having some strange issues with text not appearing. The NM and VP figures aren't showing up during gameplay, and the tabs in the options menu don't have anything on them. I've attached screenshots.

Restart you computer. It should suffice.
