Happy New Year.
Don't know if this has been posted elsewhere, but if not I hope this helps someone out there.
This game always has run a bit slow on my oldish computer, but when I recently downloaded the 1.12 patch my computer would randomly crash in the middle of a turn. Eventually I received an error message that I needed to "increase the size of the virtual memory paging file." Was able to increase the maximum size easily enough, and now the game scrolls much more quickly and no crashes...so far.
