Can I find my serial number in the program file?

I want to reinstal my game. I am currently out of town. While I have my CD with me I do not have the box and thus do not have my srial number with me. Is there a place in the game folder that lists the number or will I just have to wait until I get home? On a slightly related note when installing can I install the game and then 1.10d or do I need to install an earlier patch first?

IIRC, you should find your serial key in the General.opt-file in the ACW\Settings-directory under your installation.

No need to install previous patches.
Each new patch includes all the previous fixes.

Oh, and you should at least patch up to 1.11d

I think he wants to revert back to 1.10d to use Runyan's Leaders mod
The mod gives problems with the 1.11 patches

Actually, I did mean to say 1.11d not 1.10... I had a brain fart. However, what program do I use to open an opt file? Is there a program that I need to install to get it to open? Thanks for all the help.

Hi
No, its just a text file you can open with windows notepad.
Juts right click on it, choose "open with" and select notepad.
Be carefull to not change the .opt file extension.
Your serial is stored near the bottom of the file.
