Hard Crash of System while Playing

PLS help me;

My computer continues to hard crash (Blue Screen) when I play your game.

When my computer crashes I get an error w/regards to my BIOS IRQ not matching or equaling each other.

I have already installed the latest/greatest DirectX 9.0c, ATI Radeon X700 Video Card drivers, and the v1.10d game patch file for my system and it has not helped one bit. I have even tried using Omega Drivers for my ATI Radeon X700 Card instead of the standard ATI driver version(s) and it has still not helped. The Omega Driver I'm currently using is v3.8.421 dated 28SEP2007 (it was the latest version I could get for free off of the internet).

I've attached a copy of my DXDiag for your review.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi sdorris!

Sorry for the trouble.

You can find the newest Omega drivers here:
http://www.omegadrivers.net/ati.php

Could you also please check for newer drivers for your sound card? These are from 2002 and sound cards are famous for causing all kind of trouble. :p

If the problems remain please post again or send me a mail to support@ageod.com.

Cheers
Norbert

Norbert,

I went to the Omegadrivers web site and I can't seem to get to any free Omega Drivers.

The website takes me to a pay for service website (Driver Agent) which is only offering me the latest ATI Radeon driver (v8.7), when I try to conduct a download. How do I get it to offer me an Omega Driver instead of the ATI factory driver???

I also ran a scan for updated drivers program provided by Creative Labs and they are telling me that there are no new updated drivers for my SB Live 5.1 soundcard.

I also found out from esupport.com that there is no updated Flash BIOS avail. for my Phoenix-Award BIOS dated 15JUN2005.

BTW, when I run the game using the lowest texture ratings (shows no oceans), I would appear that the Blue screen of Death crashes hold off.

Any further thoughts???
