First time I have played the AI at this level. To learn the game mechcanics I have used lower settings. I still consider myself a green recruit. So lets start and see whatour famous Athena gives me. I will be using to colors yellow high lite for my Short Term Objectives and Blue for my Long Term Objectives.
I. Short Term Objectves, early April to early June, 1861
A) build armies at Alexandria-Va, Harper's Ferry-Va, and Grafton-WVa
B) Reinforce Forts Monroe and Pickens
C) Garrison Western Theater, Ohio River- from Evansville to Ashland
1. Once garrisoned form Div.s', Evansville, Louiseville and Cincinnati
D) Garisson Trans-Miss Theater from Paducah, Cairo and St.Louis and all points west along Misouri River to Ft. Levenworth
1.Once garrisoned form Div.s', in Paducah, Cairo and St.Louis and Ft. Levenworth
II. Long term Objective early April to late September 1861
A) Easter Theater Primary and Secondary
1. Primary: Manassas, Winchester and targets of opportunity
2. Secondary: Hampton, Williamsburg
B) Western Theater Primary and Sceondary
1. Primary: Lextington and Bowling Green
2. Secondary: Clarksburg, Columbus
C) Trans-Mississippi Theater Primary and Secondary
1. Primary: Island 10, Fort Donalson, Jeferson City, Rolla, Springfield and Charleston
2. Secondary : Fayetteville , Fort Smith, Little Rock, Cherokee and Creek
Rather audatious plan. Too much you might ask lets start out with the short term objectives first.
From my short experience I will not call for volunteers, mobilize, tax, Print money or blockade until early May 61. Fot the month of April I will postion officers, increase, print money and rail-20 and river-10 each turn. Replacements early April will be 2 supply and 1 malitia, Late April Replacements that: 1 bring up the strengh of Harper's Ferry and those supplies will go to Fort Monroe and fill out Banks supply Train. You might ask why do I not call for volunteers, mobilize, tax, Print money or blockade until early May 61?
The main reason is to get more cash vs VP! Second reason , normally AI CSA will Tax, Mobilizeand print bonds that will givethe a temperary minus in VP. Once early May comes arround I will Tax, bonds, mobilizeand call for volunteers this should drop my VP 75, not far behind AI's VP at that time in late May. The Blokade call, I think it gamey to do so prior to the first agressive action CSA.
Now to execute
