basic editing question

I want to change some of the portraits, if possible. Maybe some of the officer rating.
What files do I needed to editing and how would I go about editing them on my computer?
If anyone has the time to answer this question it would be greatly appreciated.

I can't answer your question, but I can tell you you're asking in the wrong place. You should try the modding forum, and maybe search for the keyword "portarait"
