Horrible "victory"

Check this battle victory screen and tell me how this could be considered an "American Victory."
I lost 14 of 16 units, Benedict Arnold was injured, and I lost the city and was moved out of the region.
With wins like that, I'd hate to lose.

you inflicted more than 50% hit losses than your opponent. A criteria has to been choosen, lets say that its a Pyrrhic victory then

Victory or defeat I suppose that will be critical for retired ,in this case the army defeated (the victorious one has been annihilated) don’t need retire. and can continue, with plans
Is that correct?

you can retreat and be victorious, and stay and be defeated... But yet another condition has been added to that in 1.06, I think that 95% of the battle summary should have a logical message.
