Here is an odd sequence.

Clinton starting at 96 has orders to pursue Lee at Cherokee.

Lee sucessfully retreats and avoids combat. Clinton has an offensive posture. However, before the end of the turn Lee manages to slip back into Cherokee.

This does not seem quite right does it?

Save loaded, Nothing abnormal, for me at least.

Lee has been engaged and retreat successfully toward Little Mountains (NW of him). Doing that mean that he is in passive posture, and can't be further engaged in the current region (cherokee) for the remainder of the turn.
During hosting, you saw it moves toward Little Mountains. At the end of the hosting, you see the sprite move back in Cherokee, right?

This is because during hosting, the sprites positions are calculated by checking at which distance they are from their destination, so that a movement can be viewed. If they don't reach their destination, they are still in their start region, and so are placed in their army slot. For the case of Lee, if you load the AME turn (click on see AI files), you will see he is just one day away from little mountain, but still in cherokee...

I don't know if I was clear!
