a first PBEM game?

I've grown a bit tired of the ai doing stupid things (and worse pulling them through by sheer luck). So for the first time in ages I'm considering PBEM...
I'm quite experienced against the ai in BoA, AACW, NCP, WiA and now RoP. But obviously that doesn't ammount to much when it comes to PBEM...
I live in Luxembourg, so GMT+1. I usualy have time to play a few turns each weekday, usually after 5 PM. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I also have some time in the morning. Weekends vary greatly, either a lot of time or none at all...
I can easily communicate in english, french and german...
My preference would be for the 1756 campaign, even if we only finish playing a year or two of the war before the next patch renders saves incompatible. I could play Austria or Prussia, I like both equally in game terms...

What time of day could you play to manage turning around a few turns a day? Usually I can play between about 5 and 9 pm GMT+1, that would be between 1 and 5 pm GMT-3. Tuesday and Thursday morning I should at least be able to send around another turn before I head to work...

On mornings I am at work... so that's a nono.
But I arrive home at 16.00hs ARG...
But do you send orders very quickly?... because in the very beggining that could be easy... but when you are deep in the campaign, we will surelly take a lot more time.
Anyway, because of the PBEM nature of this game, we can issue orders at the same time... but I guess you already knew that, right?

I hadn't even considered that the way these (AGEOD) games work we can issue orders simultaneously (my last PBEM of any sort must be 5+ years ago). That would of course be a big advantage

...
I'm not sure how fast I'll be at sending orders in PBEM, it should be quite different from playing against the ai, so I will probably change my habits quite a bit...
My worry is that between your at Home time (16:00 Argentine GMT-3) and my turning off the computer to relax a bit before I head to bed (21:00 Luxembourg GMT+1) there is just one hour. So we probably couldn't do more than average two turns a day...
I'll leave it up to you. You've done PBEM with other Ageod games, if you think we can do this I'd say we should try it...

If you want, wait a bit, maybe you got lucky and someone else appears around here with the same time zone of you... if not, we check tomorrow... ok?

Lonhairedlout contacted me by PM, as we are just one timezone apart we will probably try a game. Though it's not set in stone yet so I'll leave this topic open...
P.S.: This doesn't mean I don't want to play against you some time even with the 4 timezone difference. But right now I'm a bit hooked on RoP but the ai is starting to seriously bug me, so I need my daily dope pretty fast and in high dosage ;-) ...

Don't worry... I am already playing other PBEM games for the time being...
Have fun!... I am sure we will have another opportunity to play in the future.
