Hi guys,

I'm looking for a USA opponent to play the full April 1861 GC. I've been playing AACW for about 3 months against the AI and now looking for better challenge.

I've been playing war games for years dating back to the cardboard maps and counters. My preferences have usually been in WWII, but ACW is an interesting sidetrack and this game provides a good system. I'm 44! I can do 1 turn/24 hrs- sometimes more.

settings: version 1.11d vanilla
FOW: on
activation: box 2- move and combat with penalties if inactive
small delays before battles
historic generals
standard attrition: box 1
one redeployment
foreign entry on hard: box 3
pause after battle
standard naval rules
you can host.

I like to play to win but with a bit a fun along the way. I'll play to the end.
I'm open to any house rules you would like.

I've only got emails at the moment so you'll have to put any replies on this message board.

Thanks

bye

Big Ideas,
I will take your challenge. I have played 2 PBEM games before, one as each side and am playing the Rebs in one now.

The only rule change I would request would be 3 redeployments instead of 1.

I am normally good for 5-9 turns a week.

It is best for the Rebs to host to get a better view of the Yankee naval moves but that is your choice.
regards,
Jim P

Hi Jim,

OK thanks for taking up the offer. Sure 3 redeployments is fine. I'm happy to have you host as so many people on this forum are very security conscience.

What style do you prefer?
Go wild- anything goes.
Play game to the full- but don't go crazy.
Historical- limits for some historical considerations- like restrict CSA industrialization, trains.
None of the above- your suggestions.

I prefer play to the full but don't to crazy or gamey.

Thanks again.
