One of the Union's best cavalry leaders despite having no previous military experience. His Mississippi raid set the standard for Union cavalry raids and showed that union forces could operate successfully in confederate territory without supply lines.

beat me to grierson...he was next on my list! ratings look good.

An impressive raid, but not enough to get more than above average ratings + adapted traits. I propose:

i can concede the att/def ratings, but i think that grierson should have a higher strat rating... if 3 is average, what he did is way above avg. and the fact that he tops out as a div cmmder won't give the union player too much of an advantage.
