I'm a little confused

I haven't played AACW in a while, and noticed that we're all the way up to 1.09e, so I patched and started a new game against the AI. I'm having some weird results from battles. I'm in July 61 and noticed I lost Ft. Donelson(Stewart, TN). However, the battle results showed 0 losses for my side and 102 losses to the Union and declared a Confederate victory. Also, I'm confused how my 90 men and cannon held off 2240 Union soldiers with no losses. Finally, while I lost the fort, all the battle screens say I won. What gives? See below for a screenie of the summary.

Just saw that. Any idea if this was a bug and if it's been addressed? I have never seen anything like it and I've put a couple hundred hours into this game since it's release . . .

I have noticed odd results like this on occasion with very small battles involving a couple regiments.

The victory/defeat set of conditions are a bit tricky, you can lose a region while claiming a victory if you bleed dry the enemy for example. From time to time it is really weird I admit, but most of the time it works ok.

As for the actual loss, is your garrison only made of artillery? They can be captured in this case.

Looks like all your troops were captured along with the artillery. That's why it's saying no casualties and Federals obtain possession of the forts. I'm thinking the game looks at casualties\successful retreats as conditions for the victory\defeat. In some minor cases you get odd victory\defeat msgs. I wouldn't, however, consider this a bug.

Since my first "defeat" in assaulting fort sumter, but with the result of capturing the fort and the artillery, I consider losing or winning the battle not a "military" result but a "morale/politic" result.

I have noticed some weird results. I wonder if the respective stats for opposing Generlas play a significant part as I lost one battle with a fully cohesive and supplied division to an on paper weaker yankee division which is unsupplied and operating on lesser cohesion as they had to attack from a region away?
