Corps can't get into aggressive stance

Allrighty, I got another for y'all.
I'm starting a new game here in a sec, just because I can't get my corps to get out of the defensive stance to something more aggressive. Sure, they can get into the passive one, but that really just wouldn't help out.
I've got 4 divisions in it, and I'm pretty sure I can lay on some hurt if I could only get them to attack. I tried going to the HQ to see if I could change his, but that doesn't work either.
Any help?

Look at the letter envelope on the side of the stack. If it is yellowish (u can confirm by hovering mouse on the envelope on the bottom right of the lower bar) it means the leader is inactive.
Inactive leaders can't adopt aggressive/assault posture.

What is your military control in the region you are wanting to attack in? If your control is less than 5%, you will be put into orange attack stance automatically. This is the one instance where you can attack with inactive leaders. However, make sure that the odds are heavily in your favour as there are penalties associated with inactive leaders. 'Marching to the sounds of guns' is useful for offsetting this penalty.

ok, I saw that the leader was inactive but he's like that every turn, and I can't see how to change it in the manual.
Do I just have to get a new leader?

Make use of the redeploy order on another general (he will go inactive next turn though) or unless u have overwhelming odds, wait for activation.
U can also split stack from leader and have penalty to an independent stack. Ind. stacks have no stance limiters, just the penalties...it's in the end all about what you want the stack to do and what forces this stack is facing.
