Is there a note what the different units in the game do? like what are sailors for or which ships are the so called blockade runners of the csa?

There is some information in the FAQ (most updated version currently at http://ageod.nsen.ch/aacwwiki/FAQ ). If there are specific things beyond that you wonder about, the best way to find out is priobably to just ask in these forums
