AACWWiki

Let it be known that AACWWiki is now available, more specifically at http://www.ageod.net/aacwwiki :dada:

Currently, it contains the AACW manual (minus quite a few images), but hope is that it will grow to contain most anything that can be considered relevant to the game.

Those who wish to contribute can take a look at the community portal. In particular, the modding section is quite empty, since I haven't had any good thoughts so far on what would be a good way to start it.

Thanks to Pocus and the others at AGEod for the help they have provided in getting this off the ground :)

Just joined!

I was interested in getting the images from the previous manual (version 19) of the upgrades and so forth of structures. The images for v20 have been resized downwards of what you see in the game, and to me that is difficult to see to begin with.

So I'd like to post up the larger version images from v19 manual. Anyone still have that manual? I would love to get a copy from you.

I have a copy of the manual, and plan on uploading the missing images now that the basic wiki is properly set up.

Great stuff Raf, I hope I can take a good look in my lunchbreak tomorrow.

One small bug :-

[edit] According to the manual, the game allows for the building of new railroad. Is this feature working? Are they any limits as to where you can build these new railroads?
This is a feature which is on hold for now, sorry. There is the possibility of adding that into a patch (you won't be able to build where you want, there will be restrictions).

Is repeated.

Cheers, Chris

Thanks everyone :hat:

The way I see it, what it is now, is just a fraction of what it can be, once people start pouring their knowledge of various aspects of the game into it. I've heard somewhere, that "if you build it, they will come", which seems to hold true so far. Now, I'm wondering "when they come, will they build it"? :)

Very nice to see it available now!

Definatly worth to give this thread a little bump as I am pretty sure there are others like me out there that missed its launch due to vacation...
Have to sound the horns to get some more attention to it :sourcil:

It would be nice to have these referenced:
* Leaders appearance list (pdf)
* Flavor Brigades appearance list (pdf)
* USA reinforcements (pdf)
* CSA reinforcements (pdf)

IMHO It would be nice to have an updated "Shortcut Keys" list.

Something has been changed in the server configuration (maintained by the hosting service) which I haven't been able to figure out yet :(

I'm trying to find out what has happened (and what isn't happening), but since I don't know, I can't estimate when things will be back.

Hi Rafiki,

i planed to work this next weeks on updating the wiki version of the manual with the last patch's ACW Updates.rtf file but the server is still down.
Is there anything we could do to help you with mediawiki ? Or we still have to wait for the hosting service provider to start again the engine :evilgrin:

I can only apologize for the time it is taking to get this up and running again :(

There is some obscure combination of web server config, PHP config, file setup and Mediawiki that triggers the error (though I don't know which error it is). I am waiting for feedback from the hosting service for my latest questions and hope to have it tomorrow.

Thanks for the offer of help, but right now, there is little we can do

Howdy Raf,
You do what you can. I didn't realize how much I needed it until I didn't have it. :(
