E/R & T/Y Keys

Evening all,
Just started playing and I am using the above keys to make sure I do not miss any units. But....
Are they bugged ?
I hit the T key (Naval Units) and the game centers on and activates the Richmond Garrison. Perhaps they fancy a swim.
I put militia units on Sentry (S Key) and yet R and E still cycle through them. Then it misses one unit out. Seems to be no rhyme or reason to it.
Is a unit on sentry duty if it has an envelope attached to the icon or not ? Not that it matters, have tried it both ways.
If these keys are bugged it is not a massive problem, more a nuisance but some clarification would be nice.

Hmm, I haven't had any problems like this. Sentry skips the R and E cycling for me.

you have no active ships
it's actually activating on the ships in richmond except those ships are not active

If they are not active why then does the T key select them and not the myriad other ships dotted around the continent which are also not active ?
I don't mean to get anal about this but can I rely on these keys when I am in 1863 and have units everywhere ?
I have 'sentried' the Richmond garrison and it still gets selected.
I guess the answer, which no one is willing to say, is that the whole E/R T/Y selection is bugged.
At least I know and can play around it. But I have to say that every other computer wargame I have played does the 'select next active unit' thing very easily and am just a little surprised this is so messy.

The e-r keys will cycle through the units that still have an envelope (need orders). If all the orders are given.....no units have the envelope and you continue to press the cycle keys then it will keep selecting a certain unit (maybe the first or the last or favorite), but at this point you should be able to realize that there are no new un-ordered units.

Can I just apologise if I came over a bit heavy on this matter. Guess it just 'bugged' me
Great game, great graphics. I just need to be a good general and remember where my units are.
BTW I just found out I can move units by train and then boat - how cool is that. Dallas is once again in the South.
