Here I am, flushed with complete victory. I go and open the game as CSA to see what my AI opponent had around the map. I was particularly interested in Longstreets command because it had a big row of green lights on the bottom, yet did nothing to prevent the fall of Richmond on the last turn, despite my besieging it for 3 turns.

For some reason, longstreet's command appears to have a power rating of 117, despite having divisions in the container that look like they should be a minimum of 200 or so. See screenshot.

look at thier cohesion. my most recent game I managed to bottle up the confed army in the valley area near harpers ferry. after taking fredricksburg I expected a quick counterattack, nothing, so I pushed on to richmond and siezed it, this was oct 1862, by winter of 1863, the main confed army moved, I was terrified of course, since it was full of units and good leaders.

The battle was a cakewalk, hooker and 3 decent divisions decimated this army. thier cohesion was very low which is why I won, no doubt they were also starved for supplies as I had cut all possible rail links etc.

Sounds reasonable, but 117 for all those units? Cohesion must have created a power rating in the negatives b/c the Gamecock brigade in my screenshot shows power of 120.

What caught my eye, is that one of the units alone seems to have a power rating of 120, while the whole stack is listed with 117, but I might be connecting the wrong dots here.

EDIT: hehe, almost fast enough :)

I didn't pick that up until I read the 1st reply. You were pretty fast though. :dada:

the combat rating expressed at the stack level takes into account the command penalty and the leader efficiency, whereas at the unit level it is just 'raw power'.

So here, the sum is x0.65. This is how the AI see things, so it must be as accurate as possible.
