Dumb Question #3

Since I'm on a roll, might as well continue
Does this game provide the option of viewing the command structure of one, multiple, or all commands in "typical" TOE structure ? Not specific to the region I'm looking at, but wanting to glance though any given command(s) to see who has what/where ?

hmm, that is a good question. I haven't found that capability, but would be a nice edition wouldn't it? Currently as I understand it, all you can do is either go to the roster and look at each individual command and also click on the army leader to see the corresponding corps leaders. A TOE display would be very nice.

That's a heck of an idea, and I'll add it to my dream list for the Turn log feature I was wishing for...In addition to a text summary of events with detailed info on battles that can be exported to a spreadsheet, a screen shot giving the overall strategic situation, there should be an option to capture the T/O of Armies, Corps and Divisions (user could select the detail level, of course

) and this info could then be exported and easily turned in to Organizational flow charts.
No reason this shouldn't all be in the next quick fix...

You sure are on a roll, because that's an excellent idea. It's easy to lose track of how many Corps you have in a large Army, for example. And no, I don't think it's in the game now. The roster does help, though.

The Save Games are in an unencrypted text format, yes? If that is the case, I bet I can whip up an out-of-game Java utility that allows you to view it in a tree or TOE format. Would there be interest?

Sounds great. Could stats be shown also - promotability etc?

I haven't really poked around with the save game format. I'll see what I can do. Not promising too much, as I'd rather spend my time playing than coding

What do you know, maybe not Dumb Question #3 .....

I'll have to save that designation for later.....
Now I haven't got into this game to ANY depth (yet), but it would really be nice to view organization structure of a (any) given command that provides
1) who is in it
2) where are they
3) who's in command
4) nice to have (any pertinent "up to date" info about each unit, like supply, strength, etc ....). I haven't a clue how hard this might be. Just that a strategic game should provide a means of looking at things, well, strategically.

Just to be clear, I'm not an AGEOD developer, this would be an unofficial third party utility.

pakfront,
Understood. I'm not after official or unofficial. I just raised that "this would be a good thing". If it is possible outside the official route, great. If it possible inside the official route, great. Just wondering if possible ....... Seems like something that would be a good thing regardless of "who" did it ......
