Question on Artillerist Trait

Regarding the Artillerist trait, I notice that the description of it does not mention anything about the leader being in command of the stack. Does that mean that all artillery in a stack will benefit from the artillerist trait even if the artillerist leader is not the commander of the stack? For example, if I put Alexander into Jackson's Corps (without a divisional command or anything), will all artillery in Jackson's Corps benefit from Alexander's artillerist trait?

From what I can guess ,the artillerist trait is for the stack, and it does not need to belong to the commander. The artillerist must be in the stack however, an army artillerist won't help an attached corp....

I'm pretty sure that, as in BoA, the artillerist leader does not need to be the commander, just in the stack.

If you look at the artillerist file in the abilities folder, you will see the artillerist trait listed as a group trait, rather than unit trait. Group traits apply to all regardless of whether the leader is the commander or not. If it is a unit trait, then the leader must be the commander...at least in BOA.

If you put an artillerist in a fort, will he give a bonus to the artillery when they engage bombarding/passing naval forces?

yes in principle, the trait affects artillery units he commands...all artillery :king:
