Beware file deletion!

Hi folks, in my wisdom I just tried to delete a test scenario v AI and deleted my current PBEM scenario from the load screen instead. When you delete from here that's it, no backups, nothing in the recycle bin - it's gone.

Luckily I had a backup from the previous turn but I would hate to have to inform my opponent on turn 100 of the campaign game that I lost all the files.

It's worth keeping a seperate backup and maybe zipping all of the current turn
files to your opponent. I wonder if the game could be changed to at least send the files to the recycle bin? Or is this a PC setting of some sort?

Cheers, Chris

I find savegame deletion very slow and cumbersome, Is ther another way to do it then from the load screen ? I have 15-20 early games i'd like to scrape but I haven't gotten to doing it since it sorts of freezes for 3 seconds every times, etc...

Solution ?

You can delete the files also directly from the corresponding AACW directory, using a file-manager of your own choice.
I guess the deletion via AACW takes a while because there is not only one file to delete but up to 72. (The backup turns)

125 actually, 5 files per turn (don't forget ORD files) and you get 24 backups plus the current turn.
