When you alter the difficulty settings, do you also get maluses (on higher levels) as well as the AI getting bonuses (what exactly are these anyway?), or is only the AI affected?

only the AI get bonuses. On how she can activates generals, how she get replacements and income, and a fighting bonus for units too.
