support units:
- medical, signals & balloons provide benefits for the Army stack but
what are engineers for (apart for quicker rail repaiting). do they help in building trenches?
- by the way how do you build trenches? with artillery?

- as CSA (very just n resources) i'm not sure whether these expensive units are worth the cost in the first years

thanxs :innocent:

They provide benefits for any stack they are part of; not just stacks containing and army HQ.

I think so, but I'll admit I'm not sure.

Any unit that remains stationary will start entrenching.

A fort, (which might be what you're really asking about?) costs 4 artillery and 2 supply units to build

Hi Alzate!

As Rafiki said: Every unit will start to entrench automatically. The entrench level will raise if the unit isn't moved several turns. With artillery present you can reach higher entrench levels.
