Hi all. This looks to be a great game, I also migrated here from lurking over at the Take Command forums. My understanding is that this is only available as download at this time and is around 500mb? Also is the demo still on for this week sometime? Thx

Hi and wlcome. as far as I know it is still only available as download. don't know the size.
As far as the demo goes, well, there is a thread here already where you can see some of us have been waiting for some weeks now and it keeps being postponed, but the last thing we heard that tomorrow Wednesday might be the day...

New here also!!
Just purchased digital download version and am in process of doing the tutorials. Looks just awesome so far.
BFawlty-- I also come from Take Command 2nd Bull Run but am still doing those tutorials!! Nice strategic and tactical combo huh?
For the more informed, is the manual a must read first or just do the tutorials?

Welcome aboard...

Hope you guys enjoy the game. It's a simple, elegant design that has many layers of complexity that you can choose to delve into at your own pace but that isn't necessary to play and have fun.

If you enjoy the game, I also recommend getting birth of america (revolutionary and french and indian war)by this same publisher (excellent game imho) and also forge of freedom (another civil war theme) by matrix games.

I've been having more fun eating up my free time with these games in the last few months than the minister of finance usually allows. :niark: She's not happy, but... :fleb:

I definitively advise that you read the manual once you do the tutorials and perhaps Bull Run to get some fun. The tutorials can't explains everything that is in the 65 pages manual as you expect.
