Been reading the manual, but have not found yet wether can be killed or wounded. Can they?

If you're lucky...my other post talks of my disastrous war as the CSA where I've lost 4 generals in about a year of battles.

THanks for your response guys. I finally had one general wounded(Grant). I was hoping it was in the rules. Game wouldn't feel right with out the generals being killed or wounded.
