I'm not sure if this has been asked yet, but what kind of ships can the CSA use as Blockade Runners?

The rules say light ships, so I suppose a heavy warship like a Steam Frigate would be no. A Brig obviously yes, a Transport probably yes too...but what about a Frigate? It's a light ship, but lacks cargo capacity, so...?

a light ship with cargo, so brigs. You can try a transport, but as it is not good on evade, as soon as you encounter a Union ship, it will be sunk. There is no hard coded ship type: you get income depending of the transport capacity, you evade the enemy depending of your Evade capacity. The choices are then up to you.

Historicaly rebs used light ships as brigs to transport goods. They couldn't hold too much cargo. Their main plus was their speed which they used to outrun blockade.
So in the game, use brigs :sourcil:

Yeah. Of course, as things stand now Brigs have a move coefficient of only 100, so they are not terribly fast. Only Ironclads are slower IIRC.

That's what caused me to ponder Frigates, which have a 120. And a slightly better Evade.

what you need to check is the Evade value, not the pure speed. The Evade value is the measure on how fast, stealthy and nimble a ship is.
