This is as excited about a release as I have been for some time so along those lines, I have a few questions. Have you decided as to when (concurrent or later) you will release a demo for AGEOD's ACW? Has there been consideration to releasing a demo before it's release? Last, do you have a tentative time frame as to how long between the intial release and the availability of a boxed (with manual) release. Did I mention I was excited?

A demo should be up something around one week after release. As for a boxed version, we are still unsure.

Marcus!!

Stand down! :bonk: Get back.... :turc:

Pocus has alot of work to do yet. He doesn't need these distractions.

Limit yourself to 1 visit a day of these boards, that's what I do :siffle:

Can't wait for this game, those download servers are gonna explode on release night! :indien:

tc237, argh, I have been foiled by you yet again!!! You are like a AGEOD Stalker my good man. Tell the truth; you and I both know you visit this site, more then once a day. I can't say I blame you and I may indeed be guilty of multiple visits a day myself. I appreciate the news on the demo and I really cannot wait for this game to be released. One last question, will there be combat penalties or modifiers for flanking attacks when two of your armies engage an opponent at the same time?

Interesting question - if a side can coordinate an attack in one enemy zone from two different zones, will the attacker get a bonus?

One, I'd imagine that you would need a coordination attack activity skill check. and the attacked might get one as well.

Some Generals did quite well in front of overwhelming opposition from many directions, and some did quite well at coordinating attacks; splitting forces in front of the enemy as a defense, and taking split forces too attack and enemy from different directions.

Of course, the Jackson/Lee partnership comes to mind.

no such bonus, and I don't know if they should really be considered before the advent of radio. This is debatable though.

Fair enough and thank you for the quick response. Do you foresee the combat aspects of this engine changing much for your third game in the series? Also, has there been much "tweaking" done to the combat screens for ACW (ie, a slowing down of the resolution, along the lines of say Hearts of Iron, where you are drawn in a bit more before combat is resolved)? Sorry for going on and on with the questions, consider it a measure of how very much I am looking forward to this game and how thrilled I was and am with Birth of America.
