07/02/15 screenshot: AI thoughts, blocked regions, regiments' resilience ...

A new screen (a bit blurry, I had to resample it so that Imageshacks accept it):
1861 campaign, CSA player against USA AI.
Zones in red: Banks's command attempted to pass south Harper's Ferry but got stopped and then completely routed. The CSA hold firms the valley, and prevent any further penetration down south, as seen with the regions in red. The pulsating icon on the stack panel would tell you the details of the why of the situation: how Banks's army is mobile and how they get prevented to pass the confederate lines. The same mechanism allows cavalry to make deep raids, or Blockade runners pass (sometime!) the brown water blockade of the Union navy.
AI Thoughts:
Being badly mauled, the AI decided that Banks should go in full retreat, toward Annapolis! The move will surely be revised next turn, if the army cohesion climb a bit, for a stop to Washhinton. Notice the small tent on the artillery outside of Harper's Ferry, it means that a part of Bank's army is in fact moving to secure Harper's Ferry (the AI don't likes to give up objectives too easily, even if in this case there is few chances to hold against the main CSA army).
Well, things are still in being and the AI is tuned each day. We don't pretend she can plays as a good player, or even a competent one, but you should have quite some challenge though, as she is able to compute and uses statistics in details before each move.
Regimental resilience: See how, despite being badly mauled, most of the elements in the 1st Division are still there. The artillery seems to have suffered from heavy counter-fire too. (and these Ohio boys seems to have routed before firing even a single shot!)
