Army commander muscles into battle?

This is weird (1.16)...

When Hooker attacks Johnson at Washington DC, the battle result shows McDowell as leading and the hothead trait in effect.

McDowell is in a defensive stance inside DC with a completely different set of troops.

Corps have not yet been activated.

(This is just a game I've been using to re-learn how to play, after being away for awhile.)

No real harm done; mostly I wondering if this is a new feature I missed!

This is a WAD. The battle report shows all troops that were in the region at the start of the battle. It also shows all the available traits (like hotheaded), even if they are not used. So as McDowell was in the region, he is shown as the commander of the battle. He didn't fight (although Captain Orso and I were discussing that [who commands a battle] possibility in another thread).

Thanks, that fits perfectly with a test that ordered McDowell to move out of the region. That resulted in Hooker being shown as the battle commander.

AACW never ceases to amaze and delight...
