neww AACW patch for Windows 7

Hi--I just purchased AACW and I can't get it to load on my Windows 7 machine. Is there a patch? If so, how do I install it? Thanks.

The latest patch is 1.16rc10. But that should only be after you installed. Does nothing appear when you put the disk in. Have you tried running the set-up as a admin?

Yes there is a patch, but first:

What error message are you getting?
Did you properly enter your Serial Number when the install completed and brought up the Configuration Utility?
If not, go to your Windows Start Menu and run the Configuration Utility
Please zip and upload the !MainLog.txt from your installation directory:
AGEOD's American Civil War\ACW\Logs folder

when you install, update or start the proram use 'Run as Administrator', too.

It wont fully instal. The error message I get is: "an error occurred when trying to replace the existing file: Deletefile failed: Code 5. Access denied.

As noted, when you run the installed, click the right mouse button and select to Run as Administrator.
