Cavalry and towns.

How come my cavalry isn't taking towns held by the union with no defenders?
Is it a new feature in the patch or ? I moved my cavalry from Suffolk to Edenton with the correct stance and nothing happened.

If the cavalry regiment is 'early war' they will not capture ungarrisoned towns, cities or depots; only indian villages and stand-alone harbors. I don't remember at the moment, but I think cavalry only starts upgrading to 'late war' in July '63, and even then freshly raised cavalry will not always be 'late war', but they will upgrade themselves over time the same as militia will upgrade to conscripts and conscripts to line infantry.

Your "early cav" can take towns where your loyalty is high enough, however.
