No Ironclad production in Missouri and Indiana

Hi Everybody,
I am playing PBEM (North side) using the last beta patch and I have found that, even if I have money/WS/men, I am not able to build any ironclad in Missouri and Indiana (Other states are ok).
I.e. in August and Sempetber I have ordered 3 Ironclad per turn but nothing appeared in ports or in reinforcement list about that. Is it a common bug, totally new or what else?
If necessary I can post saved files.
Thanks in advance for your support.
Bye.

Hi roccia and welcome to the forums
The first question is, what patch level do you have installed? During start-up you see it at the lower right corner when the American Civil War splash-screen appears.
If you are on the 1.16rc9 beta patch, if you are trying to build ironclads in Missouri and are not producing WS in Missouri--likely if you do not have St Louis and have not invested in Missouri's economy--, they will not build there, though they should build elsewhere. That is to say, you order them in Missouri and they get build in for example Illinois. Where is randomly decided, but likely in one or more of the states close by.

Hi Roccia,
It's a WAD in rc9. The decision was made to limit builds by requiring WS for certain units. So if a state does not produce WS, then no loose artillery can be built in that state (they appear in another state). If no port with WS in the state, then certain items can not be purchased (Ironclads for example).

But that restriction is only in the trans-Mississippi. It does not affect any states east of the Mississippi.

WAD
Indiana has no ports that also generate WSU.
MO has been discussed to death

I didn't realize that the harborWSU restriction applied to the northern states too

First of all thanks to all for the prompt replies.
I am totally new because I have bought this beautiful game

only few weeks ago.
I got the WAD limitation concept. What I am not able to understand, using rc9, is the reason why I can still select these units in the panel if they will never appear in the game.
The relevant resources are correctly subtracted from the pool (money, men,WS) and no warning message is shown.
I can confirm that, in the last turn I played Late August 1861, I ordered 3 IronClad in Indiana and, once the turn finished, I had no those units in any States, not only in IN. Have I spent the resources for nothing?
Thanks in advance and sorry to bother you

I think the ships are supposed to be built in other states. Either that or it shouldn't subtract your resources. Might be a bit of a bug. Also, if you industrialize those states and get a port to produce war supplies, then you can build ships in that state.

So just to be clear about this new feature ..
If you don't have sufficient WS in a state, but you choose to build an element from that states' force pool, it SHOULD be appearing in another state which has the resources.
Correct?

It seems that the chosen element isn't built anywhere.
I had another strange problem: I have ordered two 20 lbs batteries in Illinois and then forgotten them until their completion, when I've discovered Rock Island's arsenal has built two 12 lbs batteries instead.
Has anyone experienced a problem like this?

I ran a test and nothing has been building in other states, simply you are able to buy a unit but nothing happen, the turn after you will see the same number of units available in the pool.

No. The alternate areas are not defined for the
$recHarborWSU types of either side. Will fix this for next update.
My apologies.
