Wow! That's a new one for me ... I've had Corps Commander Longstreet killed once --- probably the highest ranking general to meet his maker in one of my games.

I can go one better ( or perhaps it should be 'worse')..in my last '63 against the AI I lost Lee and AP Hill in the same battle. I actually won that battle but needless to say i was distraught..I seem to recall losing someone else of importance a turn or two later..I was scared to even contemplate a battle after that !
and, yes, I did end up conceding the game.

I know, I soon made him an Army commander (after he was resurrected from the dead.. lol). This is my first time playing the full campaign so I'm still learning. But Beauregard was still doing a great job as an Army commander, won a couple big battles.
