1st Mississippi Regiment

This unit appears early in the game as a self contained, single element unit. For all those interested, my ancestor was the Regimental Commander of the 1st Mississippi Infantry during campaigns in Tennessee! Pretty neat to see it in the game!!
Ancestral Units

I had ancestors fight in Hood's Texas brigade, 27th North Carolina, and 12th Tennessee Infantry. I'm looking forward to seeing if these units are in the CSA force pool [when I learn enough enough to take the plunge of trying the South
]

Funny, I'd tend to think the South is actually the kinder side to start with.

Captain Owen Dutton Hughes was the Regimental Commander under General Hood. His two brothers were also at one point in the regiment - only one of them made it home alive at the end of the war. Owen was killed in Tennessee in 1864.
