Hi y’all!
I would like to stop by “the campfire” and salute everyone involved in this forum and with the improvement and enjoyment of AACW. This site is the best gaming forum around and is extremely informative. :winner:

I installed this game several years ago and have always stopped by this forum to read about this game. However, every time I attempted to play AACW I was somewhat intimidated by its complexity and due to time constraints, postponed the learning curve.

So earlier this month, I committed myself to start playing this game and learn how to play it, in that order. As several of you have advised, just play it and make mistakes and learn from them as you go along. Great advice!

I also thought what better year to play AACW than the 150th anniversary of the Civil War. Hopefully by the 150th Anniversary of the end of the War (2015), I will have some clue of what’s going on.

I look forward to continue learning a great deal from y’all. Since I’ve started to “engage in battles” throughout the South, I thought it was only fitting to register and offer my thanks. Here’s a salute to all of you.

Did you ever wonder why you have blinking red negative number?
Read manual section - Army Organization.

Plain on going over many such issues.

If looking for an opponent, the best place to post a message is here.

I've always thought there should be a link to the PBEM forum either in the top or as a sticky. It's confusing for new people who just come to the AACW forum.

You have private messages turned off. If you were trying to find a game that way, it could cause a problem.
