Reaction Movement?

I'm curious if reaction movement will be a part of this title. I know in BoA adjacent forces did not march to the sound of the guns on their own and I always wished they would.

Will forces in adjacent areas have a chance to join a battle? Perhaps based on a strategic roll being passed by their commanders? It would go a long way to recreating a battle like Gettysburg where forces entered the battle over a three day period as the spread out armies moved to consolidate on the battlefield.

It would also help players in that they would feel safer breaking up their large stacks a bit, knowing their leaders will march to help one another if a battle ensues near by.

This will not be done exactly like that, because regions are 5 to 8 days away generally... but your idea has some merits...

At the scale of AACW, an army on the march will be often concentrated in a single region, so instead we have each corps test if they are commited during each hour of the battle, with good leaders being able to join sooner the fray.
