A question about searching for units and generals

Hello. It's my first post here. So, the first thing I would do is to praise AGEod for its amazing work.
Since I really do like ACW, I'm pretty sure Pride of Nations and Revolution Under Siege will be my future game purchases.
But now let's take apart the compliments: I've a question for you.

The first time I played at AACW was about a year ago, with an 2008-old demo. I enjoyed it so much that finally (and with a lot of delay) I bought the whole game, applied the latest patch available that upgraded it to v. 1.15 and noticed several improvements.

But... wait a moment! When I opened the roster page I noticed it was pretty modified respect to what I remembered. It has been simplified so much that I've some difficulties using it.

If I remember right, in the demo (v. 1.03?) there was the possibility to filter the roster in many ways. If I wanted to see my elite infantry units, all I was expected to do was clicking on a label depicting the elite unit symbol and instantly I got them. And so on of e.g. Armored Frigates, Cavalry Units, etc.
Now all I can do is to filter between Infantry and non-Infantry units. I really miss that feature...

Another great feature I miss is obtaining the whole list of available generals, sorted by rank. Compared to the old version I was used to, 1.15 introduced a lot of "new" generals and now I feel it's more difficult to find anyone of them and know exactly who is doing what. It was an useful feature also for having an immediate look for those generals who could be promoted in a precise turn.

And now the question: is there a way I could use to overtake these issues?
Thanks in advance for your attention.

Hi Njordr,

There are actually two roster lists, forces and units. When you open the roster book in the ledger you automatically you automatically open the forces roster list. The filters are mostly very generic or condition based; units with low supply or low cohesion, etc.

If you click on the last book mark on the left (has no icon on it) you open the second roster list with mostly type filters; generals, admirals, infantry types, artillery types, etc. That's probably what you have been looking for. :)

Excellent! I never noticed it... It's good to know. Thank you.

Hah! I've played quite a bit of this game and never noticed that. I barely ever used the roster before. Might have to get more familiar with it.

You're right, but I have to admit this was a quite complex question, or better, I didn't know how to concentrate my question in a search term.

It seems it's not a problem exclusively mine. :mdr:
