First serie, enjoy!
Some notes on the map:
Many places and sprites are still to be replaced precisely, as some borders. There is also some typos on map and the duplicate town names will be removed (many clean-up as you see). Please do take in consideration that, you are seeing a work in progress and in no way the final version.----------------------
1. Sherman corps managed to rout Beauregard's army and took Corinth. The leader with a '?' is mcClernand's corps (but with placeholder graphic). Grant's HQ is in Corinth too.

2. Foote's Mississippi fleet is ready to leave Cairo and will send some shells against the New Madrid garrison while a Union force will assault the town.

3. Longstreet's corps, in the same region as most of the ANV army is waiting for the Yankees. Details on Hood's division showing the exact composition of the unit.

4. With Burnside operations, only Fort Macon is still in the hands of the Confederates. The garrison is ready to fire on any Union fleet trying to run past them.

I want to be the first to say...wow!!!!!!!
This is a serious improvement of the engine!!! are you sure this is the good old BoA engine???
So many new things!!!
I like almost everything...

.. except: new small river graphics and straight lines between areas... it seems a little difficult to differentiate one area from another...
Anyway it looks great! i want it now!!!
Cheers

The graphics are outstanding. Nice to see the victory score in-game without having to toggle to F3 report.
The portraits look fantastic. So much detail shown on such a simple "board."

In the lower left corner, what are the buttons or blank placeholders just above the minimap view?
What are the new commands surrounding the enter city button next to the minimap?

The map filters. Who controls a region, supply levels, what state they're in, etc. I don't think much has changed there from BoA.
rasnell wrote:What are the new commands surrounding the enter city button next to the minimap?
Some new movement commands; Rail and river movement, evasive and 'follow' for a corp.

Their functions will change to:
trumpet: next turn
vault: save turn
telegraph: TCP/IP
the 6 white buttons at bottom left will receive soon their graphics. Frank told you about their function. The bigger one will be redone and is 'to main menu'.

Very impressive screens. Full of color and life. Can't wait to send the Army of the Potomac over the Rappahannock and actually win at Fredericksburg.

I suppose that the table on top center is how you allocate your ressource either rail, warship and fluvial transport. If choosing warship can you choose between ship on the line with mast, ironclads for river fight and monitor type for the sea. As a confederate can you choose between ironclads, raider and blockade runner? Next to allocation what is the icon, the other seem to be soldiers state (+ indicating the levies perhaps), construction, supply an the last ammunition. Vivement ce soir après le boulot pour voir le post 14. Any playtest AAR soon ?

Do you use real photos for menus and historical events ? In BOA there were some historical drawings and portraits when an event appeared thus do you use somes historical photos (as seen in many books) for the immersion ?

Looks wonderful but one tiny nitpick - the small black monitor silhouette
looks a little cartoony - would a symbol not fit better.
Great...Fantastic...

I think this is ironclads, the monitor type vessels have a turret. These ironclads are beautiful. Hope to see soon the Monitor. Is the confederate ironclads type( like Merrimac )the same silhouette ?
Carondelet?

Having the 28 volumes of The Civil War, i was looking at the volume "the road to Shiloh". There the Ironclad's name is Carondelet not Carondolet. Are the names coexist or this is an error ?

Nop, the Monitor will have her own silhouette. But because Sandra is not finished yet with all the graphism, Pocus is using the CSA ironclad silhouette as a placeholder:

I confirm, having played too much Yaquinto's "Ironclad" game, it's "Carondelet", it must be a typo.

Thus US ironclads will be different from CSA ironclads plus a special silhouette for Monitor type vessels. Excellent !!!
