So i am startign my first campaign as the South (after about a 1 year haitus form the game)--and my stupid question since I haven't figered it out on my own--how do you manage confederate shipping/blockade running?

Do you just send it to the blockade boxes and leave it there till it needs to recover or do you have to manually send it outand bring it back to get a return?

Or is there soemthign else I am missing.

In short--what do I need to do to get $$ and WM from the brigs I have built? Is it the same mechanic that one uses with Northen Shipping?

Send the ships to the blockade boxes for them to run for supplies, keeping in mind that only ships with a transport capacity greater than zero do any good, i.e. brigs and transports.

(In contrast, the Union has to send their ships to the shipping box to get and imports)

Nope, it's that simple. Just send ships to the blockade boxes and they'll provide stuff every turn.

And just so there's no doubt; just let them sit in the boxes; you don't send them back and forth to get any returns

You keep them in the blockade box until they run low on supplies (I keep them until they have 3-4 turns left, then move them back to port). They only give money/WS while in the box, not while moving to/from the box.
