Number of attached corps

Is the number of attachable corps dependent from the strat. rating?
Lee had 14 already and then no more were possible to attach.
I try to get as many as possible 2 star generals since only corps commanders will benefit from the army commanders rating. Usually I invite Athena to capture any less defended city in the river system and Forrest with always new 1 Star leaders, eager to promotion waits for just this and will destroy this army in the very next round, my best result was 5 promotions out of 6 1 star generals in a single round. For this I never attack Cairo or defend my rear towns in the river system with more than militia.
And what is the performance of independent brigades within a corpes in comparison to a division general of 3/1/1 rating?
Divisions under a good leader rating suffer far less, that is for sure, but this 1 Star 3/1/1 or 3/0/0 seem to loose as much casualties as unattached brigades in a corps. Found out that unattached sharpshooters in a corps are very likely to be destroyed in a battle, arty much less so. The biggest influence on casualties between divisions in a corps is the ability of the leader to perform next round or not, but that is may be a matter of game adjustment.
And does an aid de camp, as far as I understand a general of 4 stat rating or more really help? Only in armies or even in corps?
Hm, enough for the moment
